That represents a lot of computers, smartphones, tablets, cameras, and other devices and probably far exceeds the needs of the typical home. Both routers have unique SSIDs and serve different parts of my house using wifi. When I'm in my basement I can connect to the surfboard router WiFi since that is where the router is located. When I'm upstairs, I need to connect to the Cellspot WiFi since the surfboard signal is so poor. Next, I assigned an IP address to the router. My primary router has the IP address 192.168.1.1, so I gave 192.168.1.2 to my secondary router. Finally I gave both WiFi networks the same name (SSID) and set them to use the same password. Once configured, devices connected to our WiFi network will automatically switch between routers when needed.
Most routers can be configured to act only as a bridge and WiFi access point, but that requires some mucking about in their configuration menus. It's not hard (I've done it with my old Actiontec rev I) and is a good idea if you already have an old router lying around and don't mind playing with router configs.

But if you do have signal trouble just go into settings and change radio signal channels apart. use the cat5 plug number 1 on both boxes to join them
