Jul 25, 2017 · Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962) epitomizes the “ticking-clock” film, but, unlike most of these films that accelerate toward their narrative destinations, you’d never know from this film’s leisurely pace that time is quickly running out for the protagonist. Shots linger until the characters are eventually instigated into motion, a drive in a ANOTHER French film that fairly glitters with photographic and cinematic "style," yet fails to do more than skim the surface of a cryptic dramatic theme, is "Cleo From 5 to 7," which opened at Movie: Cleo From 5 To 7 (Cleo De 5 A 7) (1962) info with movie soundtracks, credited songs, film score albums, reviews, news, and more. Cleo feels that this possible illness leaves her feeling potentially naked, filling her with a feeling of immodesty. In terms of existentialism this film has a happy ending but depending on your philosophy you may not agree. I certainly do. "Cleo from 5 to 7" starred former club singer Corinne Marchand who delivers a wonderful performance as Cleo.
