I am running a 2011 WHS with 8GB RAM, and a Xeon E3-1280 CPU. I have never had update issues in the past, but this latest (KB4535102) has failed each of the dozen times I’ve attempted it.

Anyway, I ran a Windows 7 box that was my Media Center and File Server for 3 years before building a dedicated Ubuntu server as my new File Server and switching to an Android STB (like an Android TV kind of) with XBMC/Kodi. I also run Virtual Box on Ubuntu and can run a Windows/Linux VM for any other software I want to run 24/7.
